ABOUT US

Our Story

Bertha Cavazos began cleaning homes and small businesses over forty years ago in the Clifton, Texas area in order to help with the household income and provide for her family. In 1999, Bertha relocated to Cleburne, Texas, expanding her business to include Johnson County communities.

Quickly gaining a reputation as a superior, hardworking, and honest person, demand grew evolving the business from a small boutique service to a much larger company. Bertha personally hired and trained all of her employees and watched over them like a mother hen.

After all, Bertha wanted to ensure that everyone associated with her name and business, carried out the same level of integrity that she demanded of herself. As a result, Bertha's Maid Service retains nearly all of Bertha's core clients to this day, including her very first customer!

Unfortunately, Bertha fought back cancer in 2005, remaining in remission until 2017. Despite arduous treatments, Bertha never missed a day of work while fighting her illness. Bertha's Customers being her primary concern, she began grooming her son Delfido (Del) Cavazos to helm the business should cancer get the better of her.

Sadly, Bertha passed in December of 2018, but did so with the full knowledge that her customers were in the capable hands of Del's handpicked staff. Today, Del prides himself, and honors his mother by continuing her legacy and maintaining the same virtues and businesses practices that built Bertha's Maid Service.
